To obtain an SST card, you must complete specific training courses based on your job role and prior experience in NYC construction.

Current Workers: If you were already working in NYC construction before the DOB's updated Site Safety Training requirements took effect, you must complete a 40-hour DOB-approved SST Worker course to qualify for an SST Worker card.

New Entrants: If you entered the NYC construction industry after December 1, 2019, you must complete a 10-hour OSHA course before starting work. Within six months of starting your job, you must complete an additional 40 hours of training to qualify for an SST Worker card.

Under NYC Building regulations, you have options 1, 2, or New Worker training options available to choose from. If you have already covered any courses from one of these options with another Department-approved SST course provider, you can complete the remaining courses within that option with HAZWOPER OSHA Training LLC to receive your SST card.
Course Credits
