CDL Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Courses
As of February 7, 2022, all first-time CDL applicants and individuals seeking H, P, or S endorsements must complete ELDT theory before scheduling skills or knowledge tests. Training covers safe vehicle operation, regulatory compliance, hours-of-service, cargo securement, and specialized endorsement requirements. Completion is electronically submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR) to authorize state testing. These courses help drivers and employers stay compliant, reduce violations, and ensure safer commercial motor vehicle operations.
